A busy morning provided a need for an early edition but things settled down somewhat later in the evening. 30K privateers (as they have asked to be referred to) withdrew after a prolonged battle with the UEE Navy with damage to both sides running into the billions of UEC. The privateers only withdrew when reports of the Navy's Idris platform and 3 Polaris escorts were on the way. Whether this battle demanded the movement of such assets from the front lines is anyone's guess but it does look like the Navy is taking the threat seriously.

The resulting wreckage was rich pickings for salvagers in Reclaimers and other salvage ships, we even noticed some independents in Freelancers going EVA to pick through parts of ships for valuables and performing search and rescue for any survivors on both sides. The battlefield quickly became a beehive of easy pickings and saviors. Those looking for quick credits and offering saving grace and medbays for those left behind.

In the interest of full disclosure, the UEE Navy recovered a Prowler from the battle and offered it to yours truly at a discounted fee. Listeners to the broadcast quickly donated the required impound fee and sent the Prowler to Port Olisar where union workers and corporate representatives have offered repair work at cost. We are deeply humbled by these actions and contributions totaling over 4 million UEC. Thank you listeners.

Anvil is researching if their proprietary weather sensors will function with the cutting edge/alien tech of the Prowler, we'll keep you up to date on this.

In other news, high above Area 18, it's become a bit of a parking lot as ships getting cross traffic communications entered the wrong approach vectors and impacted one another and the resulting fireball and falling cargo shut down much of traffic for almost an hour. Those on scene, in between picking through wreckage for scrap, said it was said that Tower could not control traffic. Area 18 Control has yet to respond to repeated requests for information at the time of publication.

This has been your FastForecast FastBreak. When you need traffic, weather or information from around Stanton, you need FastForecast. As always, we are sponsored by Anvil, nothing takes a beating like an Anvil and StimCaf, when you need to be awake and alert next week and we could do nothing without donations from listeners like you.
