Any Good Books/resources for Beginners starting at Home?

My partner has always wanted to get into blacksmithing at home. I've always loved making things, woodworking and woodcarving and all that, so it interests me as well. We have the space in our yard and the money to get supplies and such. Our anniversary is coming up, so I thought it would be cool to get a few beginners lessons and possibly an area set up for us to make a few small things.

But seeing as I'm a complete beginner, I want to make sure I get the right information on making a backyard blacksmithing setup. Had a few issues with wrong info when I started woodworking.

That said, are there any good books, and/or online resources, for the right supplies and requirements for making your own setup and and some beginner-level projects/techniques?

The Backyard Blacksmith by Lorelei Sims is a solid starting book. Mark Aspery has a trio of volumes that are more expensive and more advanced but are considered top tier textbooks.

I think the Florida Artist Blacksmith Assoc also has their newsletters archived for free online.

YouTube...black bear forge, glen gs tongs, Daniel Lea, Joey van Der steeg, torbjorn ahman but he is mostly power hammer work, Alex Steele if you can handle the exhausting hyper-enthusiasm,

Your main initial decision will be between a propane forge and a solid fuel forge. Pm me if you have more questions.

For making weapons I suggest SWORDS by Ben Boos and for General stuff I suggest metalworking by Paul N. Hasluck
