Passed ICND2 Today. Officially CCNA!

Passed with a 944/1000(woops) which I'm pretty happy with.

But more-so I'm just glad to have that CCNA finally! :)

If anyone else is sitting soon and would like some tips, or has some other questions related to the exam I'm more than happy to help.

down votes for saying congrats seems you have some enemies. Either that or they didn't like your spelling.

Congrats! I am taking my ICND1 mid-August. Are you happy that you went with the ICND1/2 route versus CCNA straight up?

I took the ICND1/ICND2 route and it worked out fine for me. It allows you to focus more on each individual subject - plus you get two certificates/qualifications instead of one.

Actually, if you go right for the CCNA exam (both in one) and pass, you as also considered a CCENT. I had my CCNA long before the CCENT came out, and in my certification portal, it says that I am a CCENT. However, I am also a CCNP, so, not to concerned about the others. The highest level you have is the one that matters.

Sorry about that, I thought that it did, but I am wrong. But anyone that looks at it is only going to care that you have the CCNA. IMHO, the CCNA exam is extremely easy, and after achieving it in high school, and working in the Cisco labs on a co-op, it doesn't seem like the CCNA matters too much, at least in higher than entry level jobs. The CCNP really shows that you know stuff about networking.

I understand that, I too am a CCNP, but I'm also a certificate whore and like the extra piece of paper/card that you get.

All I can say is, be proud of it!

However, don't stop there. Keep learning and work towards the next! :)

Congratulations. Like others are saying, don't stop there. Go for the CCNP - strike while the iron is hot.

I've been putting off taking a CCNA because the practice tests keep dumping me at 75% correct answers. I'm pretty well versed in Cisco so I'm confident I can use the equipment, I'm just nervous about taking the test and getting a 79%

My question is; was the test as daunting as you initially believed? Or, after so much practicing, you knew the test 100% before going in?

Either way, CONGRATS!

It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

What kind of questions do you find you're having trouble with?

Yeah I will be. It looks like there's a big step-up from CCNA to CCNP.

I'm taking mine this Sunday.

Although it's not broken into 2 parts like yours, it's one cumulative exam. Not sure what to call it.

Anyways, have any tips that helped you through it?

Furthermore, what does 944/100 mean?

ohhhh, that makes more sense.

I was wondering if it was some sort of weir American grading system like the SATs.

What type of study material did you use and how long did you study before actually taking the exam?

I did an on-site instructor-led course at TAFE (Australian equivalent of Community College, I guess). It was about 2 hours a week for ~5 weeks.

The actual course itself is called CCNA Exploration (I think)
