So I just noticed that the title of 7x09, "Never Leave Me", comes from one of the lines in "Early One Morning". What things about the show took you way too long to realize?

I just recently realized the title School Hard is a reference to Die Hard. 23 years after I originally watched it.

Well TIL

I thought it was School, Hard like Beer, Bad

That’s what I thought! And I always thought it was a dumb title, but now I totally get it.

This definitely makes much more sense

But there is no comma in Beer Bad, either.

Oh I know, I always thought of both as School (is) Hard and Beer (is) Bad, where both school and beer are nouns. I think Beer Bad is still supposed to be like that, but the person I replied to suggested that "school" is used as a verb, like in Die Hard, and it makes more sense!

It could be both. Like Life Serial. A possible reference to the nature of the episode, Buffy working on her third life and of course, the terribly bland cereal.

I didn't get that until I saw the Passion of the Nerd video on it

That when Buffy tells the First to get out of her face it was a joke. She literally wanted evil to stop looking like her 🤦‍♀️

Well, no, I think it was meant to cover all 3 possible meanings at once, because Buffy wanted them all to end.

Wanting it all to end was how I originally only interpreted it. It just never hit me that there was /also/ the stop-looking-like-me joke there too

Watched Liam's reaction right?

You caught me!

S7 had the best episode titles.

It took me a while to realise that 'Entropy' describes Tara's statement at the end of that episode that 'things fall apart, and you can't ever put them back the way they were.'

It does, but it also describes what several of the characters are going through

Her speech in Entropy gets me every time. I zoom back to the 13-year-old in the closet me who just couldn't believe that the two female characters I loved were actually in a lesbian relationship on this show... and who for one glorious moment, didn't know what would happen in the next episode.

If it helps at all, my personal headcanon (comics notwithstanding) is that Buffy and Charmed share a universe, and Tara was made a whitelighter after her death and eventually allowed to resume their relationship.

I don't think that has to be denial. Especially since I hear Joss's original plan was to bring her back at the end of Season 7.

I also think her death was perfectly timed. It was what good character deaths are - right when the character is at the height of their arc and when their death will have the most consequences. That was certainly the case, even though it hurt so much!

I bet you just watched Liam's reaction. ;)

Funnily enough, I actually had exactly the same realisation about the title as I was watching, haha. Not sure why, but it just popped into my head and never has before.

Yep hahaha! That's so funny that we both had the same lightbulb moment!

That's one I really can't care about. It's like "Go Fish "w as named after the game or the movie, it makes six of naught & half a dozen of bloody nothing of import.
