Controls (keyboard + joystick) help

Question

Hi everyone, just got the game and hopped in a couple of hours ago. The old joystick I have works great but doesn't have a 'twist' axis that would (presumably) be used for rolling. I checked the controls in-game and it looks like roll controls default to my mouse. Lacking enough hands for keyboard, joystick, and mouse, is there a way to bind this so if (for example) I press Joystick Button 3 and move on the x-axis it will roll instead? Or attach it to q/e if I can't bind the joystick that way.

Thanks in advance!

I don't think there is a way, barring 3rd party programs, to bind a button to switch axis inputs - allowing X-axis to be both Yaw and Roll like the old XWing/TIE games. That was mostly a stopgap measure from back when most joysticks did not have a twist axis.

The keyboard/mouse setting should be rebindable however, so you could bind Roll Left/Right to Q/E or A/D.
