I know it's in the nature of rng to feel like your rng is messed up or unfair somehow. I am at 106 refreshes and nobody in my corp has reported getting a rare encounter (the octagons on the story page) since last Friday. Good luck telling a company their rng is broken but is anyone else experiencing a drop like this?

I got 3 last night and 2 so far today after about a solid week dry spell
Was pretty dry all weekend but I've had a few today.
All weekend refreshing and NONE
is it just me or are you more likely to get the rare one with the 'passive' refresh than the active refresh?
I swear this whole week, i never got a rare encounter with the refresh button but only when I log in early morning > check the encounters page before i press refresh
Not a single rare encounter on the last 4 days. Due to the nature of my job I can look at the cellphone all day, nothing.
I was about to post in solidarity with y'all bad luckers since i hadn't got one in an obscenely amount of time as well... But i just got the disaster relief t7 one so scratch that
The rng gods are fickle
Only 1 for the entire week and i refresh like almost every 30 mins except sleep time
My corp mate has 4 multibox and he can only get 1 out of those 4 since last friday
Not doing story missions since some weeks now. Spawning t6-t5inq and gettin 150m loot from it takes 1-2 hours in general. Why bother storyline missions..
Can you tell me is this in high sec or nullsec and how do you make them spawn and what ship are you using?

Nullsec. Prophecy 700 cold 1100 hot dps I clear base spawn anoms dont touch system security level anoms. Cuz system sec level anoms does NOT spawn special sites.

Same thing. I am already more than a week waiting to get the last one to unlock the main story for Caldari , Gallente and Minmatar and I keep refreshing several times during the day.
I hadnt gotten any for 2 days (prolly 20 refreshes) and just got a 3.5M pop up. Just my experience.
I'm getting one rare mission every 20-30 refreshes.

I've got every t8 and t10 done to the last mission, been refreshing all week and no luck...
Im refreshing during my work day (depends of how much work I have, but it is about 10-12 refreshes), and I moslty get at least one rare, a day. I would guess it is 5-10% chance per refresh.
At the game start is was much more for sure. But I dont know if it is bad thing. Story missions are by far best way for earining ISK. There are more profitable ways, but it is very low risk (with quite high rewards). They ware a little OP.
Getting them just fine. Perhaps you only get a certain number per week? Used all yours up?
I'm getting them in the normal flow. Its usually 4 or 5 in 24 hours and then anywhere from 2-5 days of drought. The T6 encounters seem to turn over independently of that because they don't require rares. I'm 100% convinced there is a timer of some sort involved.
They nerfed rare encounter drop like there is no tomorrow. You have some EE/Netease fan boys, company man, free marketing people who dont get paid lol who will constantly claim it is RNG, but it is not just that. They have been nerfed considerably. That was their first stealth way of trying to lower isk inflation. Now the second one is coming which is the mission pay out nerf and difficulty increase. You have to be literally blind or stupid not to see that this is deliberate.
There is a reason why Matar Reborn went from 30 million sell to 55 million, Angel Devil went from 90 mill sell to 155 mill sell. They took away the supply.
It wasn't stealth. They announced the nerf.... happened several weeks ago.

I just searched the official Discord patch notes channel for encounter, there is no patch note for it. This classifies as stealth even if they said it somewhere else, which you fail to provide a source, even though you make that claim two times in this thread...
