looks like a c4
Shhhh, they mustnāt know
I was like, "oh that's not that bad, it's just a handwire" then I saw the carboard lol
It is what it is, my friend :D
If it works it works. I really like the "I'm gonna build a keyboard no matter what parts I have" mentality
Maybe next week Iāll try to make a split keyboard with only one pro micro.
[deleted]
post it on r/CustomKeyboards lmao
Is that a challenge? hahaha
Now that you said it, it is a challenge
Challenge accepted. I will take more detailed photos and upload it :D
I think you need a proper build log covering your case fabrication
What are you talking about, that handwiring looks clean af, and yGOOD GOD MAN IS THAT CARDBOARD
Thanks!!! Unfortunately, Yes. But fortunately it cheapp af :D
I honestly want more pictures of this thing
I gotta get me one of these Cardboard40 boards, they look sweet!
One of us, one of us. Join the 40 gang
How much do the pcb in the middle and the diodes by the switches cost? I may actually be interested in building one of these
Pro micro: $5 Diodes: $1 for 100 pieces
Got them at shopee, prices may vary. But you should try building one ācause it showed me how my MK works and that process was really frustrating yet rewarding.
Wow thatās absurdly cheap. Definitely giving this a shot. Best part is that it can be in any configuration I want
Call it a "prototype" and watch the accolades roll in.
Will do HAHAHA thanks for the suggestion
Looks legit to me. Custom as custom can be
Yeah! I love the feeling and aspect that I can design the matrix and the plates myself.
Thats the best feeling right? And the wiring looks quite clean considering everything...Hahaha But what does the board sound like?
Yeah!!! The keys goess thocc
Sound test?
Nice
The wiring is nice
Hopefully, soon it will get better :D
holy hats of to you my man. this is such a money saver
only a true madman builds a keyboard out of cardboard
if it works then its cool ;)
Thanks!!
looks edible :D
I mean like, if you want a nibble go ahead :D
This is great. You got a guide that I could follow to do something like this? Iām just curious now!
Unfortunately, No. But when I started hand wiring i saw this video and used it as reference:
As for the programming of the pro micro I only use ākeyboard Firmware Markerā hopes this help.
If you need help dm me :D
Thank you!!! kind stranger for the GOLD MEDALLL AAAAHHHHHH. I donāt deserve this but Iām trully grateful.
Next builds:
Salamat kaibigan :D
Nice wiring.
Now to finish off that aesthetic..
Just waiting on my keycapss
I'm working on something similar at the moment., a clone hero guitar. Can you share the schematics if you still have it?
Use craft foam. Feels awesome to type on imo
Specs? š³ I need that case and plate
Switches: Gateron Milky Yellow. Case: Illustration board, cardboard, and some drywall
Out of all my hand wired keyboards this is my cleanest and dirtiest one.
Which part is drywall? It looks like I might have some leftover from a project, sooooo...
Its the bottom plate, that grey looking piece thats bellow. Itās actual a great material for diy projects and such. Post your hand wired when you ever do it hehe
Join the 40 gang become one of us
Oh, that looks like it might be a slightly different material than what I have on hand.
I am (or was) already running a 4x4x4 from 40percent.club, although it's been out of commission since the usb port broke off the controller board. I'm stuck with a full size staggered keyboard until I can finish the kyria build that's my winter project. My pinkies hate me.
We'll see if I ever get around to doing a handwired build...
