Is there a flowchart graphic for developing control systems?

For example, a graphic that tells you the steps if you want to develop a controller for a system, like first, find the dynamics of the system, put into state space if applicable, characterize the stability, choose controller type, test open/closed loop stability, add estimator, etc....

I am looking through job postings and for control jobs, I am not sure where I would even begin when they say " develops low level controller for X system". Grad school in controls was mostly about system dynamics and stability, and not much on controller design or the entire process.

Decide what you want to control. Find a way to measure it. Fiddle with the controller until the measured variable tracks the reference to the specs.

(Only half joking)

Look up large PLC companies' guides e.g. siemens or Rockwell
