I'm not sure exactly when, but the recent week or so performance and visual quality dropped dramatically for me. When I see the release date of patch 1.07 I get very suspicious that the patch introduced some kind of fuckery that got it busted. Is it possible to roll back to a previous patch on steam to see if this assumption is correct?

Have you let the game fully optimize shaders since the update? They changed it so you have to sit at the main menu for a bit for it to start the optimization. Or it will optimize shaders during gameplay but if you only played for a bit, it might not have finished and might cause issues. I don’t know.
I did the first time. It tries to do it every time I start the game. I'll try letting it run its course again and see if it's improved.
Same on my end, not sure what's happening.
