r/whatsthisplant•5 yr. ago_umamiCan anyone identify this seed? I found it near some tropical plants but couldn’t figure out which plant it came from.Unidentified 🤷♂️reddit.com/gallery/jyxaezreddit.comPosted Nov 22, 2020, 3:21 PM UTC36ShareSave
What are the options as far as plants? Hard to know when it’s in seed form
Wasn’t able to take a picture in the area I found the seed at. It was in an area with tropical plants. I found it under a Heliconia but I don’t think it’s that
Where is this?
Naples botanical garden in FL
Are you sure it’s a seed? Looks like a rotted Calophyllum fruit (shot in the dark, but a popular ornamental in S FL).
