How is throttle position related to torque and speed in an EV for 1-pedal driving?
In pure speed mode, the car wouldn't slow down going uphill, but in pure torque mode you'd get free-wheeling when you let off the pedal as the torque controller maintains 0 torque.
So is there a weird blend? Is it something along the lines of "max torque & max speed, whichever you hit first"?

One pedal driving is usually just a rescaling of the pedal input. instead of 0-100=0-100% torque request, it's 0-100= -25-100% torque request. So when you're off the pedal the vehicle will slow at a more significant rate than static losses, but isn't like slamming on the brake pedal when you lift the throttle completely.
So you start driving backwards when you're sitting still?
