I watched this movie recently. I have little experience with playing Jazz, so a lot of that stuff went over my head. But I fully understood the psychological damage that dude inflicted on drummer boy.

Overall, I'd say this obscure analogy totally works.

Skål!

I wouldn't say the analogy is obscure. I'm glaring at you like J.K. Simmons is at Miles Teller right now.

U/whirledworld, this is your best work yet. Truly magnum opus.

I also feel like the video of the white cat vibing to bongo guy could be another perfect option layered over all those stats.

Thank you but I still feel my Jaire Alexander Enya video is tops. I peaked early

...wait. You mean all this time I never figured it out?

I feel like Lois Lane right now.

This may be the best thing posted on the sub in 3 years.

Especially with his shiny new weapon Mr. Jefferson

I think that was the main thing holding them back at first. They didn't know what they had in Jefferson. Once they realized it, they started letting Kirk sling it more.

Keep Brett jones on the line and take out Dozier when cleveland comes back. Pass blocking is needed more than another run blocker who can't pass protect

This scene perfectly encapsulates why I have never watched that movie and why I hate Jazz. Was that impressive and difficult? Hell yes. Did I enjoy any of it? Nope.

That movie is incredible. I know nothing about jazz or music performance and its still like a 9.5/10

Same here. I know nothing of music or jazz but that's hands down one of the best movies I've ever seen

Not my tempo.

WhirledWorldbrowns•

Both of Damien Chazelle's jazz movies work better if you don't know jazz at all lol

I'll take your word for it. Its in my top 20 movies of all time

2
WhirledWorldbrowns•

Definitely. Now I want to rewatch it

What movie? No one will just say the name of the movie.

Whiplash

Thanks!

FYI, the movie has very little to do with Jazz. Replace Jazz with anything competitive...

This scene is my favorite ending to a film of all time and encapsulates so many emotions and feelings that build throughout the film. It's perfect in every single way.
