The argument people make is that Kirk takes up too much cap space to win the Super Bowl. The reasoning behind that is that, because he takes up so much, there is less money to go around to build up the rest of the positions. People like to use Nick Foles' 0.91% cap hit in 2017 as an example.
It makes sense, right? If Foles only took up 0.91% then that left a whole 99.09% for the rest of the team. No wonder they were so good, right? Wrong.
Wentz took up 3.44% of the cap space. Sudfield took up 0.16% of the cap space. That was a total of 4.51% of cap space used up on the QB position, leaving 95.49% for the rest of the team.
However, to be completely true to the argument, we have to t
Stafford's win percentage is worse than Kirk's and Watson is barely above .500. Stafford has never won a playoff game and Watson has the same playoff record as Kirk. Watson put up great stats this year but his team went 4-12. Kirk put up great stats and his team went 7-9.
Why does wins/losses not matter with them but they do with Kirk? Don't even say they had bad teams because you don't give Kirk that leeway.
You say he can't play under pressure? How the hell does he put up those numbers while being one of the most pressured QBs in the league then? He won't win a Super Bowl? Dan Marino must suck too then. The criticism of Kirk is so hypocritical.
The only fair criticism of Kirk is
