First embroidery so far! What should I add in the empty space?

I actually think it looks really lovely with a lot of empty space!

I really enjoy the empty space as well! Maybe a small bumble bee if you’re really itching to add something in?

What else calls out to you? Weeping willow hanging into the frame on the left? A bird flying through? A mountain in the distance? A favorite quote? What will make you smile when you see it? I also second what another comment said - don't be afraid of empty space. Simple pieces can be among the best.

Yellow or blue flowers :)

I like it how it is right now, but bumble bees and flight trails might be cute! Or bees checking out the flowers.
