Persistent Learning
Is anyone else using persistent learning? If so how do you go about getting notified if the mac limit becomes exceeded?

Please provide some information about what type of notifications you would like to receive upon mac limit being exceeded?
There is a lot of flexibility in Junos. An example would be to create an event policy that triggers on-box Python code to invoke a webhook.
root@lab# show event-options
policy l2ald-mac-limit-exceeded-if {
events l2ald_mac_limit_exceeded_if;
then {
event-scriptl2ald-mac-limit-exceeded-if_handler.py;
}
}
Juniper persistent learning can be strange, FYI. I would say the easiest way to get notified would be using a log parser that does email notifications, like Splunk or Graylog.
FYI, if it's not something that gets responded to same day DO NOT do drop-and-log option. Apparently there is some internal limit on how many times it can do this option before it shuts down the VLAN on the entire switch. Took ours a few month to fail this way, but eventually it was a huge deal and took over a day to even figure it out.
