I think they forgot to add the tithe they expect from the peasants for the $600.

None of the crazy religious people I know are getting the vaccine because they think it’s the mark of the beast/poison/the government putting microchips in us all.

If they have real jobs they'll get vaccinated fast.

I work in a hospital and one of my ridiculous coworkers is saying she’s going to quit if they make us get vaccinated. 🙄 Byeeeee, homie.

I bet they willing carry around a smart phone though.

Good. Hopefully they all die.

Or worse spend your peasant money on a new gun or new tires for your lifted trump truck. That's a direct violation of the 11th commandment, or the GOLDEN RULE as it is called in less hypocritical circles.

There is no such thing as a good christian.

Hey guys. It’s a bipartisan bill. No one in congress is fully exempt from this indictment.

But coronavirus denial is not bipartisan. Callousness is always unacceptable and most of our reps have failed at their duties to the American people, but dismissing the pandemic as a hoax is an additional layer of awfulness (and I assume the inspiration for OP’s title).

However, this point does definitely stand for the ones who claim to be Christians. I’ve just made it a personal mission to remind everyone I can that neither party is the assembly of heroes it claims to be.

neither party is the assembly of heroes it claims to be.

Do Democrats do this all that often though? I recall plenty of Republican Christians touting sound economic management, moral superiority etc.

I agree neither party are great, though one is a tad more vocal about thinking they're superior.

I’m not sure I agree. lol. I think it’s going to depend who you’re paying closer attention to. The headlines are catered to your response to get more clicks. Try creating a right leaning alias online and you’ll see a very different set of headlines.

Well yeah, there is that. But a little over a month ago democrats shut down a republican plan to send a second wave of 1200 checks for no reason other than it being a republican plan since their bill they put forward less than a week later was nearly identical, except with more money for special interests. None of them can claim to be good people, regardless of their (party line) response to Covid.

ElJosho105•

was it the money for the special interests that was the sticking point, or was it the legal immunity for employers for unsafe working conditions regarding covid?

While you are right that democrats shut down the bill, and I do think it is a gray area, I don't think the situation is quite as murky as your comment makes it out to be.

LiveWire02•

Well yeah. Every bill has been absolutely loaded with ways to make life harder for regular people, but that’s kind of the point I’m making. They’re all horrible people trying to convince us they’re the heroes by pointing out how horrible the other people are.
