How would you send out an email for an internship?

Found a small boutique I'm interested in and it just says send an email with your resume to our HR. How would you structure the email to sound professional and make it very clear you are applying for an internship? Would u lay it all out there or do u give them a brief explanation of who you are, what you're studying, and where you're studying? Thanks in advance.

I wouldn’t email your resume to HR.. You’re going to want to get in touch with the bankers there directly (they make the call on who to hire).

I’d email HR and have the email a sort of condensed cover letter, “this is who I am and this is my objective”

By all means continue to network with bankers at the firm, if one of them referred you feel free to include that in the email but don’t lie and say one referred you when they didn’t
