I assume France is a PU too? How did you manage this without a massive coalition? It's been a while so maybe it's easier than I'm thinking. Also would it not be faster to let them colonise and then eat their colonies? Both just genuine questions, no hate.
Not OP but French PU and Iberia don't give much AE and the amount it gives is mostly in Iberia anyway.
As for the second part I agree with you. Colonial CB is gud.
Yeah PU on France and Scotland subjugated as well. Honestly was rather chill. I attacked into two small coalitions and gave some of the land to granada as well. As for efficiency... Probably this is worse but more fun flavorwise to me.
From my experience conquering Iberian land upsets only the other Iberians and the French. If England’s got a PU on France then the AE map would probably look like -40 from Naples, -10 from Morocco and -289 from Castile.
Laughs in Canaries
I got those my dude. As well as the Azorrs and Cape Verde.
You should be tried in court on the grounds of mapslaughtering.
I plead guilty.
Muslim Columbus incoming.
R5: No Iberian colonizer has any coastal provinces or islands left before Columbus comes around. All the world shall belong to me.
In one of my first ever EU4 games I no joke somehow got Columbus as fucking Poland.
Well, Courland, a small vassal duchy of the PLC, had a colony in the Caribbean in the 17th century, so I guess this is all historically accurate
