Please check your PMs - the bot will often PM you if it takes an action
One of the most common temporary bans this bot hands out is for extremely short text posts. People will often either post an image link as a text post, a short message that *should have* been a comment, or a selftext post with an empty body.
If we block these kinds of posts with an automod rule that doesn't explain why people will be confused, angry, etc. If we explain why they'll just type "fuck the mods" 15 times to make their shitpost fit the required length and repost ten seconds later. If we hand out a tempory ban (which automod won't do, it doesn't ban) people will figure out what not to do and the number of submissions can be manageable.
The bot also reads text in pictures, text posts, and titles to find tickers that are below our market cap requirements (and spam phrases). If it sees one it will spam it. People have taken to crossing the bad ticker out to get their portfolio post up which is fine.
If you've posted nothing but the robinhood front page with no positions it will get taken down. Please post your entry or exit screenshot as well.
We're growing fast and stuff like this is IMO necessary to maintain quality. I'm sorry if it banned you, I know it's annoying. PM me (/u/zjz) if you have any questions. We mean well and if there's some kind of error I'd like to figure it out.
