If win/loss is such an important thing with Kirk, why are people drooling over Watson and Stafford?
Stafford's win percentage is worse than Kirk's and Watson is barely above .500. Stafford has never won a playoff game and Watson has the same playoff record as Kirk. Watson put up great stats this year but his team went 4-12. Kirk put up great stats and his team went 7-9.
Why does wins/losses not matter with them but they do with Kirk? Don't even say they had bad teams because you don't give Kirk that leeway.
You say he can't play under pressure? How the hell does he put up those numbers while being one of the most pressured QBs in the league then? He won't win a Super Bowl? Dan Marino must suck too then. The criticism of Kirk is so hypocritical.
The only fair criticism of Kirk is his backloaded contract. Even then, it is not because he is overpaid. His cap hit is lower than Stafford. If you go year by year, his contract is middling until the final year. That forces the team to restructure to get it back down. That means they have to keep him or pay out the ass at the end.
Edit: To be clear, I think Watson and Stafford are great QBs.

It's because we only judge OUR quarterback by that awful standard. Other Qbs we recognize that Qb ability and wins are separate, that the former contributes to the latter but doesn't control it, so you can never truly derive from the former from the latter. Watson was incredible this season, a truly unarguable top-tier Qb, and he went 4-12 rofl.
Highlights versus watching entire games for entire seasons. The same guys who are the grass is greener don't realize their wives and girlfriends feel the same way.
First off, no one is putting Stafford and Watson in the same category and second Watson had a bottom 5 running game and a bottom 5 defense.
If you put Kirk on the Texans this year they're not winning more than 4 games. If you put Watson on the Vikings we're a playoff team.
I'm mocking the idea that we should judge Qbs by wins/losses or wins/losses against winning teams, not saying Cousins is better than Watson. Watson has been better than Cousins this year clearly, and Watson winning the 1 extra game to get the Vikings to the playoffs is something I would expect from him. One extra game.
It's moronic that we have the same people calling for multiple 1sts and 2nds to be given up for Watson saying Kirk's bad and you can prove that by showing he's a .500 Qb or doesn't have playoff wins. What's Watson's record? Barely above .500. Playoff record? 1-2. Weird, kinda similar to Kirk huh? But he's an elite/borderline elite Qb, everybody agrees with this, and yet everybody cites the same stats Watson fails at to paint Cousins as worse than he is.
Kirk haters:
It's about winning games. It's not the PFF Championships.
Also Kirk haters:
Watson is 4-12 but he is the the third highest PFF rated QB.
Exactly rofl. Every time.
If this is the best you can do it's time to just take a break and realize you're on the wrong side of the argument. Kirk has been a starter for 6 years and is .500 with one 10 win season (the rest fall between 7-9 and 9-7) and one playoff win. Deshaun has been a starter half as long, has a 10 win and 11 win season and a playoff win. Deshaun was also quarterbacking a squad far worse than anything Kirk has ever led this season.
If you can't grasp a sample size in Kirk that is twice as big as Watson's I don't know what to tell you.
None of this in any way addresses the issue. I'm not saying Cousins is equal to Watson, so the majority of what you brought up doesn't seem to apply to anything. Watson is better than Cousins, can we both agree we agree on that? We're talking about how to make sound arguments, and the arguments being made are fundamentally unsound against Cousins when citing win/loss record and the like.
Regardless, Kirk was on Redskins teams that were worse than either playoff Texans teams (with the exclusion of 2016). Redskins 2015 were inferior to both Texans 2018 and 2019 disregarding Qbs. Redskins 2017 were so cripplingly injured it's a miracle they won what they did, they were comparable talent-wise to the 2020 Texans.
Here's a magical thing you can do: Kirk Cousins with the Vikings over 3 seasons, 25-21-1, 1-1 in the Playoffs. Oh, would you look at that, similar sample size! Better playoff win/loss record and regular season record. Magical. 2020 Vikings had a better supporting cast than 2020 Texans and... would you look at that, better win/loss record too, in fact we beat them head to head.
Point is that wins/losses aren't a good measuring stick for Qbs. Watson is a better Qb with a worse win/loss rate (in the playoffs too) over his 4 seasons with the Texans than Cousins 3 with the Vikings.
Looks like you're on the wrong side of this argument.
