so not sure why it took me so long to encounter this... apocalypse passive 'cannot be stunned while an active mutant is on his team' or some wording like that... i downed his only mutant team mate and he's still immune. is this a thing?

on the following turn the stun did work maybe the game doesnt count the turn when the mutant is downed.

Every time I go up against an Apocalypse team, I always clobber any mutant partner he has first. Usually it tends to be Polaris, so basically it's a rush to eat up as much blue as fast as possible to hit the stun on her and then go from there.
Thankfully I mostly run into barely covered Apocalypses but on rare occasion there's a big boy in the mix and I get completely smoked by the time I can start chipping away at him.
i generally don't even run stuns just thought it was funny. my normal pvp team right now is thorkoye and prof x but i mixed it up and used iceman and was like wtf is this lol
You got it, I haven't seen this personally but my understanding from people talking about it is that the immunity expires the turn after his last mutant team member is downed..
I think I just found a glitch when fighting Apocalypse
Known bug vs description and how similar abilities that care about team members work since his release.
Normally the unstunnable should wear off the second the last other Xmen dies, but they coded him differently and it only wears off at the start of a turn where he has no active Xmen team members. So you have to wait a turn.
