How is it this fun??

Gameplay (anything about playing RFA)

Just got this game about a week ago and I'm amazed at how fun it is?? Like I expected it to be better than normal exercise, but I'm actually having fun. Like I gain a new type of exercise and I'm like "ooo that one looks fun" which is something I never would have said about a type of exercise before lol

It's just great

Even mom wants to try it now

This sounds like an ad lmao

(Also I've been able to up the difficulty by one every time I've played so far and I'm pretty happy about that)

They blend gameplay mechanics and exercise routine principles very well. I was actually well impressed and surprised myself!

Sometimes it has you do some new mechanic and you have to think to yourself how clever it is for them to turn what movement you are doing into something that is fun. Blows my mind all the time.

My wife and I play together every morning. We bought a Pilates ring and when I play, she does the same things with the Pilates ring. Then we switch to her character and I use the Pilates ring while she uses the RingFit ring.

A couple times I have played alone and it strangely feels a little more like work when she’s not there. So find yourself a buddy and it can be even better.

This is such a good idea ! My husband and I do ringfit together every day but he just uses dumbbells to do somewhat similar exercises at my side. Just ordered a Pilates ring so he can also experience the resistance exercises ☺️

The fun thing is the person with the dumb ring will probably start to rotate it in the same way when you move through the map, and squeeze to shoot at crates, even though it obviously doesn’t do anything.

And we’ve had a few laughs as I twisted my dumb ring a little too far because I was moving a little quicker than my wife, whose ring was controlling the TV, but I was lost in the game and kept twisting to try to get in the zone.

Great idea! My MIL and FIL started playing at my recommendation and I wasn’t sure how to get the 2nd player feeling more involved. I’ve passed on the idea so thank you!

It's fun to move your body, isn't it?

I’m a big fan of RFA, but I cringe every time I hear Ring say this line.

They went above and beyond compare to Wii Fit. The adventure mode even has a friggin' skill tree!

The technical term is gamification and it definitely works for me!

Wait this is so interesting and perfectly explains my obsessions with this type of game, my Apple Watch, etc...I get really into streaks and rewards

Killing monsters with your abs is very satisfying.

I usually pretty much hate exercise, but I’ve been playing for three weeks and I’m amazed how much I look forward to it. Gamification works I guess!

How do you increase the Level by one? I tried to increase the level yesterday after I finish so it will be ready next time, it asked me a few questions and went from Level 8 to Level 13!

Either when talking to tipp when starting the game for the day, just say you only want it a little harder (usually an option along those lines) instead of saying it was very easy or something like that.

Or go into settings, then advanced settings, and there you can choose from a slide from 1-30 of difficulty and change that whenever!

Thank you! I'm trying that tomorrow, I had to get a break because I exercised 2 days in a row and my shoulders are sore, lol.

I feel the same exact way about it too!

It's a mental thing.

Remember, it is often recommended to workout with a buddy. Not just because you have a spotter, but because it no longer becomes a chore thing, instead a social activity.

It's similar with the game. You're playing a game that happens to move your body and tries to murder you harder than a gulag. But you're having fun.
