G502 Lightspeed connection issues after latest update

Support

I've had the G502 Lightspeed now for about 7 months and was really enjoying it.

However, yesterday there was a windows update (KB4598242) and an update to the G Hub software pushed (2020.12).

Now, I have intermittent connection issues in wireless mode. Mouse input will be dropped for 0.5-1 seconds at a time, resulting in the mouse being completely unusable. I will have to run it in wired mode for a while in order to keep using it.

I have had not had a single wireless connection problem in the past 7 months of ownership, and immediately after restarting after these two updates the problems begin.

Has anyone else run into the same problems? I've also had to upgrade mobo bios and chipset drivers the same day, so not ruling out a configuration problem just yet. Is there a way to perform a clean g hub reinstall?

Hey 303Redirect,

This seems to be an issue with the receiver.

Please check the following steps:

  1. Fully charge the device.
  2. Try with a different USB charging cable or cradle and connect to a different power source.
  3. Verify the product or receiver is connected directly to the computer and not to a hub, extender, switch or something similar.
  4. Move the device closer to the USB receiver. If your receiver is in the back of your computer, it may help to relocate the receiver to a front port. In some cases the receiver signal gets blocked by the computer case, causing a delay.
  5. Keep other electrical wireless devices away from the USB receiver to avoid interference.
  6. Unpair/repair or disconnect/reconnect hardware using the Connection Utility software: https://support.logi.com/hc/articles/360025141574
  7. Update the device's firmware:
    • Download and install Logitech G-Hub (Available here: https://www.logitechg.com/innovation/g-hub.html))
    • Launch the software, select the device from the home screen then go to Settings
    • If a firmware update is available, a Blue ""Update"" button would appear under the firmware version on the top right corner of the screen
  8. Windows only — check if there are any Windows updates running in the background that may cause the delay.
  9. Mac only — check if there are any background updates that may cause the delay.
  10. Try testing the device on a different computer.

If the issue persists, please create a ticket on support.logi.com and one of our agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

If by any chance you do not receive a response, please DM the Ticket Number and the details to me.

Please do not share any ticket related or personal details on this thread.

Hi, Thanks for the response.

Just following up to say this issue resolved itself somehow. It was only misbehaving after the initial windows update. The next day it was working fine. No idea what caused it, but I'll keep these steps in mind for future problems :)
