I was talking to a woman who is going back to Japan after living here for 4 years, and she said a couple of interesting things regarding UK culture:
One was that Japan is a fairly conformist society, but living here had made her more individualistic.
The other was that she never thought much about being Japanese, but now after living somewhere else and getting a more outside perspective, she started to appreciate her own culture more.
So to others who have moved here, has the culture changed you at all?
Quick question: If I wanted to say "JLPT N4" in japanese, what's the counter I should use?
ex: 日本語能力試験の四(何)が合格したいんです
I need to explain to japanese teachers what my aims are, and they've told me the counter in the past but the conversation moved on before I was able to note it down.
Google search results just return a slew of things relating to counter vocab listing for various JLPT levels, but not the counter for the JLPT levels themselves. The JLPT site just refers to them as N1, N2, etc. or just 「レベル」, but I've heard a specific counter as well.
Currently at the N5 level working towards N4, so apologies if this is a super simple question.

So I'm curious to know what the general consensus on this is. I've heard from people who are hardliners against, and people for.
For the record, it is certainly illegal London mostly as per the Highway code, and discouraged elsewhere. However the practical reality of it seems to be different.
So how do you feel about it? Do you mount the kerb? If so, why? If you feel strongly against it, is there a specific reason? Has pavement parking caused issues in your area? Or do you feel it's not cut and dry and instead situational when it's OK or not?
Edit: Thought it was illegal in the entire UK, but it isn't. Sorry for spreading fake news
For reference, it's the noodle shop that was opposite Debenham's: https://thenottinghamfoodblog.com/2018/12/30/lanzhou-beef-noodles-eating-everything-on-the-menu/
I've been looking forward to going back there after getting vaccinated, but noticed it's still shut. Does anyone know if it will re-open, or has it been another casualty of covid?
If it is permanently shut, does anyone know where else to go for a similar dish? You just can't find good hand-pulled noodle bowls in Notts. I'm aware of Nosh in Beeston, their beef noodles were nice, but not quite as good.
I'll be in a particular area that is running fine at 60-70 FPS, and then all of a sudden the framerate will tank down to the 20's. This happens even if there is nothing special happening on screen. Fiddling with the settings like toggling RT on/off makes no difference. Sometimes the framerate improves on its own, sometimes I need to restart the game.
Anyone had similar issues?
I'm on a Ryzen 5600X, RTX 3070 and 32GB RAM. Nvidia has a new driver out, going to see if that might fix it.
I recently broke my headset. Got in touch with Logitech support asking if they offered repair services and got told to pound sand.
Do logitech at least sell parts? On their website all I see is things like spare earcups or microphone booms.
I've had a look at what's broken and basically a component has come off the PCB and stripped some trace with it. Are we able to buy internal parts like spare boards? Replacing it will entail reconnecting just two wires. Otherwise my £190 headset has just become ewaste.
I've had the G502 Lightspeed now for about 7 months and was really enjoying it.
However, yesterday there was a windows update (KB4598242) and an update to the G Hub software pushed (2020.12).
Now, I have intermittent connection issues in wireless mode. Mouse input will be dropped for 0.5-1 seconds at a time, resulting in the mouse being completely unusable. I will have to run it in wired mode for a while in order to keep using it.
I have had not had a single wireless connection problem in the past 7 months of ownership, and immediately after restarting after these two updates the problems begin.
Has anyone else run into the same problems? I've also had to upgrade mobo bios and chipset dr
