Oblivious

To the garden she does saunter,

The arms of another wanter,

Tis the dead of night,

I see her in my slumber,

I breathe unfazed, unbothered,

My coldness and my spite,

Façade goes on, no wonder,

Oblivious to her lies.

Love the feeling of willful ignorance in this. Not that you're blind, but chose to shut your eyes for the love. Very moving.

That’s a kinda cool interpretation, actually, not what I got from it. Multiple probable interpretations makes it even cooler to me .

I read the tortures of a person’s assumptive jealousy haunting them into the dreams.

That’s the effect I was going for, but I’m welcome to other interpretations

I love it. I read into it not willful ignoring but the true cluelessness that “oblivion” suggests. Ignorance is Bliss, or as Tame Impala paraphrased.. “the less I know the better”. Something so striking about the picture of innocence in the betrayed one sleeping.

I like the image this conjures in my mind, as if a ghost is haunting the speaker. The feeling of losing a lover or them finding someone new can definitely haunt dreams for a while.

The wording and rhythm of the first two lines seem odd to me and don't fit with the following lines. The end rhymes saunter and wanter sound forced. I'll admit that I had to look up what wanter meant, so that could be the reason it don't quite click with me.
