The Shaddow of Death

A Bad Tattoo is a lot like a Bad Poem. As long as it means Something, to Someone, Who really gives a Shit?

A quick little Couplet scrawled on a shoddy napkin can resonate more than the Photorealistic Depictions in higher quality Ink.

So scribble the sentence or stab the skin, —But remember— If you plan to print a Bukowski crost your breast, Alcohol is a must.

I like it. It's a good comparison, and I agree with you, if it is important to someone, then doesn't matter too much what others will say. I didn't get the "alcohol is a must", maybe because to do some tattoos you gotta be drunk? Anyway, I like the message of the poem, it's an interesting perspective.

It’s actually supposed to have a couple meanings. Bukowski was a poet that was famous for his alcoholism. Also I wanted to refer to alcohol being used for sterilization, specifically in reference to “basement,” tattoos. I’m glad you liked it! Thanks for the feedback!

Oh I didn't know about that, thanks for explaining. I like it.

I read this as though it was from an old, 1940s book written by a woman. Not sure why but there we go! I love your use of verbs in this, each sentence flows perfectly, a great little read :) thank you

Not really a poem, but I guess that’s the irony in this poem that says your point

How is this not a poem?
