Fun thought for Final Version
I see that the devs have gone to great lengths keeping the flora and fauna roughly accurate to the latest dinosaur science. (Is it just me or do the lips and feathers on theropods make them look MUCH more like real animals?)
Anyway on the note of this being a game about a deep love of natural history, It would be cool if there were journal entries on various plant and animal life in the game, particularly if they were voiceover entries that you could listen to while you wandered. Imagine clicking on an object or animal In the environment and a cheerful David Attenboroughesque voice chimes in and explains a bit of paleobotany, paleontology or even geology while you casually wander through the forest. It would really further distinguish your game from the pack.
Also it might be cool at some point to have an option of a couple of period-accurate servers, where all the species on a given server were specific to a particular period of the earth’s history and in a particular biome. Obviously everybody would love North America in the late Cretaceous, but maybe some other lesser known chapters of natural history would be fascinating in their own way.
Finally, it would be cool if there were certain servers were the players really just cut the chatter and acted like dinosaurs. Some of my most interesting and delightful encounters have been crossing paths with another big predator in the forest and exchanging a few vocalizations and threat displays, and then going on our respective ways (which is how I imagine that sort of thing unfolded as often as not.) I also recall creeping up to a random pond to sip some water only to be chomped by a big sarco that was wading in the shallows (NOT in the big lake near Corpse Cove, just deep in the forest somewhere).

The first one does sound interesting but doubtful. The second and third ones I bet there will be servers for that, the second one is prob just a modded server or something and the third one is hardcore realism right there. Hard to do that rn Bc of no rules on servers but I’m also excited for those two to come up sooner or later.
