Squat sets and hand numbness

I have switched to squating low bar which has drastically improved my form, specifically I don't lean forward nearly as much as I used to. However, today my left hand went numb. As I type this, it is still tingling. What's going on? Should I be worried?

Also, after my SS 3 work sets I often deload and do another 2 sets of lighter weight to work on my form. Is this a good idea or am I over doing it?

Thanks for the input.

My hands tingle on high rep squat sets. I use high bar...I don't think anything of it.

Think about where the blood is mostly being pumped (legs) and then think about how your hands are positioned with a kink in your arm...

I am not sure about numbness but I have had severe pulsation(some vein visibly pulses) in my shoulder after BPs which usually goes away in couple of hours. But feeling is very irritating. For deloaded sets after work sets, I do that too. IMHO as long as you dont kill you muscle so much that they are still hurting till your next work day, it should be ok. Form is everything. So if you wanna work at your form then do so.

I had the same problem when I wasn't positioning my elbows correctly.

I though maybe I didn't have my hands or elbows right, but I couldn't figure out how they could be wrong. I feel like there is literally only 1 position my arms can be in if I am doing low bar and my forearm to the back of my hand is straight. Maybe if my flexibility was better I could move my elbows somehow.

I also have never had this problem before but I figured it was just showing up now that I am at a high enough weight.

Make sure that your wrists aren't being jammed into extension as a result of poor flexibility. There are very sensitive nerves that run through your wrist that are probably being affected as a result of this overextension during tension. If its not your wrist, it's something else that's in a poor position!

Check your pec minor. It's stretched in the low-bar squat and might have locked down in protest, compressing the nerves of the brachial plexus against your ribs.

Also check your rotator cuff. It can refer pain to the hand and wrist if insulted.

Where do you feel the tingling? Top of the arm. underneath, which fingers do you feel it in? There are three main nerves and specific information can narrow it down.

My whole left hand.
