Weird electrical issues (2016 acura ILX A-Spec , 91000KM)

Hi guys,

I'm facing a weird issue where my navigation system would just restart when driving.

I have a short clip showing it happening when I lock the steering wheel.

Every time it happens, the navigation would reset (both screens), I would lose memory seat settings, I would get the ''Tighten Fuel Cap ' error, and also the driver proximity sensor would not unlock, but locking works fine.

The car starts just fine every single time, so probably not a battery issue I guess. Maybe a fuse problem

Xposted on acurazine too.

I would look under the dash around the steering column and see if there's any harnesses that are rubbing on a metal bracket or something. Because it sounds like something is shorting out.

I know you said car starts every time but could possibly be an issue with the battery cable / terminals, especially if there’s a lot of corrosion visible. Also does the steering wheel lock up at the same time? Same thing happened in my ilx but fixed it for $20

I will check the cables and make sure that they are not corroded.

No, the steering wheel does not lock up at all , even Though I have had the system restart while driving.

It’s been fine today , no issue at all.

What did you do to fix your problem ?

Thank you ,
