Drowning

It’s like I’m stuck

in the middle of an ocean

and I need to keep swimming or else I’ll drown

but I’m just exhausted

and I can’t keep swimming

and I’m drowning

and there’s nothing I can do

except distract myself

from the fact that I’m dying.
