We eloped! None of our Friends and family could make it on the day, but a few gave us Honeyfund gifts - we'd like to send thank-yous to them, looking for ideas?

Everything Else

Hey all,

We eloped at the beginning of Feb, as Covid restrictions made it way to hard to plan anything for the year, and we decided to say 'stuff it', and celebrate later. We plan on having a massive celebration, music, Food Trucks and drinks and accommodation once borders open back up. Our family and friends are in NZ, Australia, Europe and the Middle East.

Our friends and family have been super generous and understanding, and have blown us away by buying items off our HoneyFund registry for us to experience while living here in Canada. We want to send meaningful thank you's that are personal and hand-written.

One thought I had, was, (now that we have pictures back), sending everyone a Postcard with a picture of us on our wedding day from the Photographer. I thought to use VistaPrint to create them. We are also sending pictures and messages to people of us enjoying each present (once we purchase the present).

Anyone else in the same boat? Got any ideas?

I’m not sure how this is different than a normal thank you card? Lots of people put wedding photos on thank you cards. I don’t think you need ideas, just...send thank you cards. That is standard etiquette, for monetary or physical gifts, and something you should be planning to do for every gift. You don’t need to go crazy with this.

I don't think you need to send them pictures of you enjoying the presents, I think your postcard idea is great and you can just add a personal note to those who have given gifts thanking them and say what you plan to use the money for.
