What we have to remember
I just wanted to remind our fan base that no matter what happens this trade deadline, we as fans, never have the full picture. Some trades are made to set up future trades, some trades are made strictly due to a change in direction. Some trades are made due to the value being too much to pass up and some are made for non-basketball reasons.
Also, I’d like to remind ourselves that just because the kings don’t win the trade right now, doesn’t mean 3 seasons later we still lost the trade. Everyone felt we lost the boogie trade, including myself. 2 seasons later the kings running away with the win. Lots of things can happen to flip the outcome of a trade.
Also, please remember, no one other than us like the kings. So every trade the kings make will be met with some skepticism and it’s completely fair. So let’s not get bent outta shape because Steven A Smith thinks we got killed in the trade and wants to see Fox on his Knicks. We know a very small percentage of people have been watching the kings, so there are going to be a lot of shitty takes. No matter what the kings do, someone in the National Media is going to start calling for Fox to be moved simply because they’ll see every trade made as a step back. Fox and Hali B are our future.
Sometimes we have to take a step back to position ourselves to take a leap forward, because a step forward won’t get you over the hump.

I think your heart is in the right place, but you need to remember that despite not having the “full picture”, if the Kings’ executive decisions had been crowdsourced to this subreddit we would be in a much better position than we currently are.
Except for Dedmon, he was ass.
