This isn't just a Modest Mouse thing, I know, but the cycle of love and hate between fans and any new MM albums fascinates me. Seems like after they release a new album (Starting with Good News), it doesn't get much to any love until 1-2 more albums have been released.

In '04, all the MM fans I knew wanted to burn Isaac at the stake as a sell out. Now that album is seen as many as a classic.

We Were Dead was just "meh" to most of the people I knew at the time, but now... "Bangers!"

STO has been dumped on like crazy in this sub, but once their new single dropped, I'm seeing new love for it.

And of course, we can feel folks in here sharpening their pitchforks as they listen to We Are Betw

According to some groomers and many blogs, you aren't supposed to cut your puppies hair until their adult coat grows in. I've also seen information to the contrary.

To me personally, it doesn't make sense that removing hair, which is non-living, could somehow affect the hair follicles beneath the skin. However, many groomers insist that if you cut puppy hair, you will be damaging their adult coat.

I'd love to hear from people who've cut their dog's hair at different ages to help me understand better. It's getting hot here in California, and our little doggo is looking more uncomfortable with each passing day.

I'm hoping you guys can help me with this.

Back in around '04-'05, I think... A friend got me into JOA, and one of the CDs he burned for me was a live album. I believe a lot of the tracks were from So Much Staying Alive... It included a version of The Infinite Blessed Yes at about double tempo. I loved that album so much, but have long since lost touch with that friend as well as the CD, and have not been able to track it down since.

Thanks for the help in advance.
