DICE Employee Only Scopes... STOP COMPLAINING!

I've seen a fair amount of people complaining about not being able to unlock all the scopes for weapons because there is a "DICE" only scope for most if not all of the main weapons. This does not affect your "OCD" as you will NOT be stuck on 18/19 scopes unlocked.

When you unlock everything, you WILL be listed as having unlocked 19/19 scopes shown here and here. This is because the DICE only scope is automatically unlocked at level 0 for their employees, you just cannot access it yourself without being one.

edit: Sorry guys, i never really noticed it said #19 of 19 instead of 19/19. I agree it does suck and it shouldn't list it as an option, particularly when other guns such as the UMP show the message "all unlocked". Ah well, i'm a dumbass :)

Wrong, my M249 says I'm working on #16 of 18. It's fully unlocked and all that remains are the DICE only scopes.

Not sure why you're getting downvoted. The OP is wrong.

My type 88 LMG says #16 of 18, with everything unlocked except the three 'you need to be a dice employee' scopes.

I would link you to my profile for proof, but as far as I can tell there's a bug where you can't see the type 88 on other peoples weapon lists (at least one of my buddies can't see it on my weapons list when he looks).

Sorry guys, you were right. I just finished with the UMP and it says "all unlocked" which is annoying.

My bad, i finished 2 weapons and both said #19 of 19 and i assumed that meant 19/19 as the DICE only gun was listed first, so i assumed it was automatically unlocked, but shaded as to show it wasnt available for use. I hadnt tried any of the other classes as such, but i now have finished with the UMP and it says "all unlocked". :(

I just want the scopes and suppressors for fun, screw unlocking stuff :P A silenced shotgun would be awesome :D

Only ever used it once though, but such a bad experience I had.

Agreed, it's hit detection is bad, it's rate of fire is bad, and somehow it's kinda buggy with the rail, sometimes it just doesn't attach to my AR even with the rail on it :/ Medic kit all the way!

No, it's fucking awesome! Got that service star in a 30-40 minutes. I'm just sad I can't use it as my main weapon on other classes...

Who needs it when you can take the DAO-12 and the medic kit at the same time :) And im half a rank away from the M102 shotgun

Apparently the M26 MASS does not attach to some assault rifles, the AEK being the only one I know of. It's intentional, but god knows why.

Playing with suppressed shotguns in other games was terribly satisfying, I wouldn't mind doing it here either!

I only really want the heavy barrel for the sks, I ran with that during beta and it was great.

Yeah, I've got the sks but the game wants to me to unlock it again :P I do like having a heavy barrel on some of my rifles as well before i get something better like a laser or flashlight :)

I'm pretty sure when they say "#19 of 19", it's showing you "this is the 19th unlock and you still don't have it yet". If it had said "19/19" on the other hand...

They should just remove it from battlelog and make it you see your amount of unlocks as fully completed. Problem solved. Those scopes are useless anyway.

You're not annoyed that even though you paid them money for an ENTIRE game they locked you out of part of it and give you no way to get that part. It would be different if they didn't advertise it directly where all can see it. I think it's a pretty bad practice to be honest. It completely doesn't change the fact that I love the game nor does it change the fact that I'll play it until my eyes bleed. I think it's just a bad idea to say, "haha, we have shit that you can't have."

I think it's pretty obvious that they used the DICE only setting to disable certain unlocks for balance / testing purposes.

So, your saying that giving people a 12x scope on assault riffles and/or giving people a suppressor on a shotgun is unbalanced? I don't think it would really change anything...

But... using your argument we can say that DICE sucks at their own game and needs tools to make them better! (j/k since I don't think these items are game changers... lol)

Or through testing they found that people using 12x scopes on their assault rifles were trying to snipe from the back of the battlefield and not contributing to their team.

I don't know about the 12x scopes on the assault rifles, but I know for certain that I would love the flash suppressor for my sniper rifles

Just trying to imagine SC2 and marines being for Blizzard employes only... This is really an odd thing to implement in the game. But oh well: Unable to unlock the last scope, I am the 99%...

This is no different than bungie having flaming heads and recon armor in halo. Of course they gave that perk to the public after a year, but the same concept applies.

People don't mind that Dice gets certain items (I mean look at what Valve gives employees), people with OCD just care in Battlelog it shows that they haven't unlocked all attachments
