herself

she woke up in a body
that was not her own
and spent every moment
trying to convince others
who she really was.

when she had finally
returned to her own body,
there was one person
she still had to convince.

I like the title and how the poems written in 3rd person..gives an all too familiar out of body feel

The formatting is a bit weird, I'm on an old phone though so it may just be how it showed up on this phone.

Overall it evoked a clear feeling which is what I think art is supposed to do🥰

this is beautifully odd. and i love odd things. so odd its gonna take time to fully sink in. it left my mind wondering who, for a split second, then the realization of who. great job.

Short and sweet, really nice. Still invokes a strong feeling. Sometimes poems don’t need to be super long and convoluted to get their point across yknow. I feel as if I’m in the same boat sometimes, trying to practice self love and whatnot. I hope you convince yourself someday.

I heard the title echoed in my head after reading the last line, not sure if that was intentional but very cool effect. The lack of capitalization made me feel a sense of dissociation by removing significance from any one letter or common sentence structure. This is a very nice poem and I like that it can be read as both melancholy and hopeful.

Overall great work!

Really great work, you conveyed a really complex idea of self worth and self identity in such a short piece. The final line really tied everything together really well. I felt as if every word was chosen well, and there was no filler within the piece, it was concise and to the point. The only feedback I would give, and it's really not negative feedback whatsoever maybe just another route the piece could have taken was breaking the piece down into day and night, maybe having her spend her days convincing others and then the nights convincing herself, but I may be overthinking it. You've already done a great job of conveying the message so I think my feedback may just muddy it. Thanks for sharing!
