Restored wallet from secret.key file

Wallet

Hi guys,

So I restored my wallet from the secret.key file from Daedulus 1.0 ( old version) that I installed on my old computer to my MacBook to the latest version of Daedulus. My question is will my sending password be the same as the one I set in Daedulus 1.0 ( old version) from my old computer?

The spending password encrypts the file so yes.

Honestly I'm just happy to hear that Daedalus is now able to restore such an old keystore file now. That's awesome.

I was just coming on to make a new post and seen this, so I'll ask here instead - I've had my ADA stored on Daedalus since 2018. With the price increase I want to get some off for trading/ selling - I've restored the wallet a few times over the years with my secrets-1.0 & wallet-1.0 backups I have on an encrypted USB and it worked a charm. Can I use this with the new Daedalus the same as previously?? I don't have the 12 word passphrase because I was able to restore it without issue before, and I've been reading elsewhere that without the passphrase you can't access? Is this true or am I OK?

Thanks in advance for any answers! 🙏
