So sick of all this Xinjiang nonsense

shitpost maybe :whatttt:

Westerners just live in a bubble there's no talking to them. Millions of uighurs are being killed for not being ethnically han chinese, and theyre all being sterilized and sentenced to slave labor, and that's just the end of it. No proof necessary, all evidence to the contrary is to be ignored, any lack of proof is just scary china covering it up. No argument, no debate if you deny it you are litchurally worse than a holocaust denier. 20 years from now they'll still be talking about it. There will be uighur memorials built in the west. They'll be justifying sanctions embargoes maybe even full scale war with "saving da uighurs". There's just no hope, it's not even worth the effort debating these rabid psychopaths. I give up, I don't know what else to do but ignore it to preserve my own sanity

r/China is filled with anti-china propaganda 24/7. Like their narrative is to bash China and the Cpc all the time. I don't know how a sub supposed to be for appreciation of China just bashes it 24/7 with no proof but just siting ASPI.

Not to mention the creepy mod who brags about sexpatting in Thailand... ergh

Also the mod who said the Japanese should have killed more Chinese people in Nanjing

I commented there for shits and giggles. Got bodied by a bunch of posturing chauvinistic and imperialists who feigned concern and had usual anti-China rhetoric.

Saying they bash China makes it seem they have valid criticism.

You gotta take each problem piece by piece, take for instance the assertion that the cotton is slave labor. I was just talking to my brother in law who is a farmer about this and asked him what was the market viability of slave labor cotton, and he just laughed it off, because he knew as a farmer that manually picking cotton is not economically viable. Now he is not a self described liberal so he is not so prone to virtue signalling or savior complex that he then has to defend as his identity, but I appealed to his legitimate knowledge on a subject, so he could see the lie himself not as me lecturing. Take it day by day and leave time for yourself too. You don't have to save China from every naysayer. China is rising and there's not much these western liberals and conservatives can do about it anyways.

Great approach, I think we can all learn something from your example, thanks comrade!

[deleted]•

No problem! It's easy to forget that people do think about their work scientifically, don't talk to people like your an activist! Have a real conversation with them! Now if they insist on waving you off idealistically talk to apolitical (even conservative ones) people, because those people know the government and media is full of shit. Liberal activists have already made up their mind and are looking for validation. That's the case in my part of the United States anyways.

Yeah I can't say this strategy will culturally work everywhere.

I believe this will happen. The U.S. will build a Uyghur Holocaust Memorial for 10 million deaths.

They all know it’s a bunch of BS. It’s not about Uyghur muslims or anything like that, it never was. It’s all about delegitimizing China and how rapidly it’s grown without exploiting people and pleasing rich bastards in its history.

36
Elleden•

without exploiting people

Yes, because everyone knows about the amazing conditions inside Chinese sweatshops.

Believe it or not I worked in a Chinese textile “sweatshop“ in Yangzhou making clothes for JC Penney and K-Mart in the summer of 2013, one of the hottest summers on record up to that point.

Yes it was hard, boring, monotonous work, as all factory work is, but no, it wasn’t cruel, inhumane, or dehumanizing. Was it a nice air conditioned factory? No, but it was still just regular factory work at the end of the day. Food was actually pretty damn good, and if you didn’t like it, you could just walk to the town nearby and get something else.

There were on-site dormitories for the workers, which are standard in factories across China. By Western standards, they would be considered low quality, but the mistake Westerners often make when criticizing China is comparing the country to their own Western standards. By Chinese standards, standards that the workers are used to, the dorms were pretty ordinary.

My fellow colleagues were regular Chinese people from the countryside, who, like me, were there temporarily to make some extra money to bring home. We spent the monotonous days talking about life, cracking jokes, or listening to music off of someone’s phone. They were all in pretty good spirits. No one was there against their will. Aside from me because my dad made me do it lol

The government and state media told them it's okay to be racist against Chinese people, so the Western NPCs are going ham. They can finally be openly racist and be rewarded for it, literally a settler colonizers wet dream. Facts and reality means nothing, they get their hall pass on racism which is all they care about.

I would bet that about 85% of white Americans - conservative, liberal, and independent - have deeply internalized the idea that America is truly the greatest country on earth. It's not just the overt stuff from dudes in massive pickup trucks with goatees and hot dog necks. It's a deeply held belief for most white Americans even if they don't fully realize it. And china's rise alongside the USA's rapid decline is breaking their brains. The Xinjiang nonsense is just massive cope. It's hanging on to something - anything - that lets these white Americans hang on to their beliefs about American Exceptionalism.

(I focus on white Americans since in my experience there's a pretty large gap in how white folks and BIPOC folks perceive American greatness).

It's fucking insane trying to talk to any of those puppets in r/worldnews. You can't reason with them and they're frothing at the mouth to shit out anti-China rhetoric without any substance.

7
spoonsouls•

That is the worst sub by far. It's absolutely fucking ridiculous. Some of it has to be purposely placed propaganda, no? I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist or anything but seriously wtf. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills any time I enter a r/worldnews thread.

Was also banned from there months ago for defending China but w/e

6
EienShinwaChina state-affiliated media•

I don't even have to defend China to get those clowns to screech "CHINA BAD". Trying to get them to even look introspectively at the US' actions makes them automatically think that you're a paid CCP shill. That subreddit absolutely has an agenda, and I wouldn't doubt there's intentional propaganda there.

8
hehezChina state-affiliated media•

It's not a conspiracy. Go look at the profiles of people pushing this bullshit and more often than not, they're dedicated accounts pushing the same article on a plethora of other subs, or active participants on anti-asian and/or far-right conservative subs.

Try it. You'll find the pattern really quickly.

Because libs are drawn to outrage culture, they see headlines that reaffirm their inherent ignorance and buys into propaganda.

They're brainwashed bro. And don't think for a second that the western 'governments' have any issues with China. As we speak they are co-opperating on the CBDC systems. Google it if you are not aware. All world 'governments' are puppets, this is just to create a state of war mindset to gain greater cult like control of the populace on both 'sides'. Bless my bro

5
kenjie_6130Stasi 100%•

You can’t even talk to them anymore, their “evidence” is beyond paper thin.

“China is erasing Uyghur language”, there are signs with the Uyghur script on it, and also it’s mandatory.

“China banned long beards”, there are pictures of men with long beards in Xinjiang

“China banned the Hijab”, once again, no, there are pictures of women wearing Hijabs in Xinjiang

“China is preventing Uyghur births”, yet they still have one of the highest birth rates of all the ethnic groups in China

“China is preventing Uyghurs from having Muslim names”, there are kids named Muhammad(not exactly the most Han name out there huh?)
