Happy for Goji and I hope he gets at least one more movie in the MV to wrap it up (Destroyah pls), though I hope that Toho starts their own universe.

GvK was great. HBOmax is a fantastic service.
ZSJL did gangbusters for a 4 hour director's cut, it's ok that a mainstream movie with a more traditional runtime fared better.

Exactly plus I'm happy for the monster verse fandom and I plan on watching it GVSK after I watch Godzilla with Bryan Cranston

This is no surprise, think about it this way
GvK is an anticipated movie and has had very very heavy marketing (remember that) and has a less than 2 hour runtime
What ZSJL looks like to your average person who goes on to hbo max is essentially a 4 hour directors cut of a movie that’s 4 years old and was a critical and financial bomb, and had little to no marketing
But think how well ZSJL did with no marketing and a long runtime and it did incredible for what it was

This doing as well as it is feels so good after how crushing it was to see everyone shitting over KotM and it really underperforming (maybe flopping but we don't have numbers).
Maybe with this and ZSJL being hits on HBOMax we can restore both the MV and the SV

There's so much potential for the MV, I really hope we get some news about its future soon enough
It's really nice to see how well it's doing at the box office too. At some point last year it legit looked like theaters could potentially die. This movies performance this weekend proves that people still want to go to cinemas and will do so when a film interest them.
All I can hope is that once cinemas in the UK opens back up in mid May they'll have this playing, I want to see this at the BFI IMAX more than any other movie.
