Trust

So guys just sharing some thoughts hoping to get some insight on this journey. I haven’t managed to manifest anything that I wanted and even when I feel positive about something, I feel like something within is trying its dambdest to stop anything I want to manifest to manifest. And then I came across the words below – and it was a ah-ha moment for me.

THE LAW AND THE PROMISE – Neville Goddard (page 68): “Man can understand recurrence of events well enough (the building of a world from images supplied by memory) – things remaining as they are. This gives him a sense of security in the stability of things.

However, the presence within him of a power which awakens and becomes what it wills, radically changing its form, its environment and the circumstances of life, inspires in him a feeling of insecurity, a dreadful fear of the future.”

If you have serious trust issues as I have / had with God (since I was a little kid and for good reason) how do you get your mind / ego / subconscious / whatever to cooperate? How do you “welcome this presence within” which is your own True Self / God when you have issues with it even altho as an adult you realize that many of them were a misinterpretation on your part ?

So not surprising that no intellectual understanding / rituals / methods / etc have worked because "I" don't want them to work.

Any insight will be welcome.

Start small then go big. Prove the law to yourself and in turn you’ll keep adding onto your belief with the law

I agree with this. You have to start with small things you have no resistance to. One for me is pink cars. I manifested yellow them purple then orange and green. It was like a magic trick. So one day, I said ok let's do a pink SUV. And I saw one within an hour. And now I treat pink cars as signs - I manifest them all the time (saw 2 today alone!) because they remind me of what a good manifestor I am. So try some basic objects and then try small sums of money or gifts - a dollar, a free dessert. And then keep growing from there.

What methods are you using? About an hour ago, I'm not kidding, I was driving and said "there are so many fun colored cars in my Neighborhood today. I saw: bright Orange truck, purple car, lime green SUV.

I’m trying to manifest any random red shoes since I don’t need them at all but i feel like there’s no way it can happen just like that I can order them myself from Amazon but then that’s not proof at all I’m imagining someone randomly giving them to me somehow

Know that you are God, and God is you, therefore, you may find your mistrust in God is a mistrust in yourself. Forgive God and yourself, and you should begin to feel a whole lot better.

‘Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice, And be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.’

I would go back to Neville’s simple answer for a lot of things, ‘Be still and know that I am God.’ Try getting into that state where you feel you can imagine, or manifest, and just be still, listen, let God speak his Word.

I hope this helps.

" you may find your mistrust in God is a mistrust in yourself" - a good point that I will have to think about. If you read my reply to someone else below you will see that I have experienced that "silence" - what I call peacefulness. It was so amazing - but I think you are talking of a different type of stillness. I will carry on affirming " I AM TRUTH - I AM LOVE" - as someone else suggested - and just be still as you suggested. Thanks for your input.

That silence IS the silence 😀 It goes ever deeper.

Hey, I totally get where you are at. And it's perfectly fine to feel that way, because I have been there. First thing I did was take responsibility of everything happening in my life. Accept you are the god of your reality and there is no one outside of you. You can embody that by reminding it everyday by just having a self talk. And when you start accepting you are god, your egoself will try to pull you back but now is the time you have to break this cycle. You assume that these egoself, negative thoughts, doubts, fears are coming so that you can release them and simply don't mean anything. Because you are god and nothing can mess up. You can't do anything wrong. Also, we are in different states in a day so don't overanalyze your egoself, thoughts just know it is state and it will fade. YOU ARE GOD GOING THROUGH DIFFERENT STATES. TRYING TO FIGURE SOMETHING OUT MEANS YOU ARE ASSUMING YOU DON'T HAVE IT. Your inner god will come on its own, when you accept yourself as god then you will feel inner ☮️ peace. Remember you are god and god is love, so therefore you are love. You see love in everything, then you are in a state of remembering who you are - god. Return to that state very often, the inner trusting, etc come on its own.

Focus on these -

"BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD."

"VERILY, VERILY, I SAY UNTO YOU, HE THAT BELIEVETH ON ME, THE WORKS THAT I DO SHALL HE DO ALSO; AND GREATER WORKS THAN THESE SHALL HE DO; BECAUSE I GO UNTO MY FATHER." - I REMEMBER THIS AS I CAN DO EVERYTHING THAT JESUS CAN DO AND EVEN MORE.:)

Lots of love and blessings to you. :)

Thanks - Jesus is my hero and always has been - God not so much and I have a serious issue believing I am God. I believe I am a part of God but not God. But thank you - love and blessing back at ya!

'So not surprising that no intellectual understanding / rituals / methods / etc have worked because "I" don't want them to work.'

You have your answer there. You are conditioning your 'big' manifestations by saying to yourself that you need to prove it works by making small manifestations appear... and then you go on to accept the fact that rationalising it doesn't work because you don't want them to work. By saying those words you just confirmed that you are the operant power.

Remove God from the equation if that gives you problems. The mind has no power of its own: you are the power. The subconcious mind is a passive, very passive servant: it just does what it's told. It doesn't need to cooperate, it just takes commands from your conscious, rational mind. You seem to think that your subconscious mind can rebel and refuse to do what is told. It doesn't. It can't. So you need to start telling yourself a different story (the one you want to see) with regards to how you manifest and make a decision: you believe , you know you manifest what you want. Choose a technique that you can feel its sustainable and gives you a feeling of ease and persist in the work (I chose affirmations when i get contrary thoughts and daily scripting). But you have to apply the work. I recommend reading Neville and stop trying to rationalise things. Absorb the work and watch your inner talk. Quantum physics can help if you want to know how things operate, and also an understanding of the subconsious mind (Neville explains it in 'Feeling is the secret' ad so does Joseph Murphy). I personally have found reading Neville every day a real help and also paying a lot of attention to my inner conversation and thoughts: the story you silently tell yourself is the command you are giving the subconscious mind, which then it takes as an instruction to express in your outside reality. It's really that simple: your word is Law. What you say, goes.

Thanks for your thoughts. I maybe should not have said that I didn't want it to work, altho I think that is part of my problem (giving something else control rather than "me" - my ego). The thing is I have tried all sorts of things - even with constant conscious belief that what I wanted would happen, and when it didn't happen I beat myself up for "believing in this BS". I would have short imaginary sessions of already having what I asked for and I would feel such relief. Deep down I know it is for real - some years ago while meditating I was acutely aware that I was aware of my own awareness. I was in this darkness where only energy and awareness existed. I was also aware that I had existed from the beginning before anything was formed - therefore I was either Jesus or God. I was also aware that this "energy" was at my command and by just saying "cat" a cat would form. It was the most wonderfully peaceful / happy / liberating experience I have ever had. So it isn't just having to believe something Neville said or believing something Jesus said - I know the Truth, I saw It, I was in It. And yet I don't seem to be able to do anything with / from that experience and others I have had. THIS is what is so effing frustrating for me - and all the while having to deal with my crappy physical reality that is going to worse shit every day. I seriously don't understand what is wrong with me.

The thing is I have tried all sorts of things - even with constant conscious belief that what I wanted would happen, and when it didn't happen I beat myself up for "believing in this BS".

I experienced the same thing. I tried to manifest/imagine "X" and felt good while doing it. But, "X" never came. Of course, other things, things I didn't try to consciously manifest, did manifest. After trying and failing 1000 times, it was clear the universe hated me and as a result, I hated it.

But here is what we know...

  1. Our thoughts create things in the 3D.

  2. We have desires for things.

I believe the key is to stop trying to think about what you want to manifest and just let those desires wash over you. If it's a sunny day, you don't try and absorb the sunlight/warmth, it just happens. You similarly don't try and laugh at a joke, it just happens. Two examples of blessings that you received as a gift from God, that you didn't have to create.

So, stop working at manifesting "X". The work is done. All you have to do is remember your thoughts create reality and so when the idea of a vacation pops into your head automatically, just sit back, smile and know you will be on a warm beach soon.

Good point - just yesterday I felt like I was living my manifestation all day long without even thinking of it - just being aware of the feeling of being it. It was grand. Today - CRASH. So I'll just have to get back into that feeling. Thanks for the reply.

Please read what you wrote. You are affirming a ton of negative things about yourself. One thing you need to be aware of is that you don’t stop this process. You don’t do it for a result, you do it for you. You say it didn’t work, well, it didn’t work. Why should it had happened already? Who decides? I’m going to be tough here but you keep complaining and that’s just going to veo no you more reasons to keep the complaining going because it’s familiar for you. The last sentence is a dead give away: there is nothing wrong with you. I would suggest you watch you self talk and every hour check what it is you are thinking and how you are feeling (I used an alarm and it worked a treat). You keep telling yourself the story that it is not working for you. That’s what you need to change. It won’t happen just because I say so or after you have a good couple of days. Or may be it will. But for as long as you on vigilante mode, looking at what’s not working , that’s what you will see. You know this works all the time. Start telling a different story. You are insisting on the one you don’t want. Stop now. It takes the same effort.

Thanks - and you're right. I think it isn't working, or not going to work, so it doesn't. Proof! Thanks for the kick. The only thing I can say in my defense is that I have imagined to the extent that when you come out of it its a "shock to the system" - to use Nevilles' words. That thru me into such depression that I became hesitant to do it again. But now I am more understanding of the whole thing and handle the "shock" better.

londoner1998•

'...in my defence'- What? Who are you defending yourself from? What are you trying to prove? To whom? Watch out because your subconscious is a passive servant and if you are trying to 'prove' something, it will serve it to you on a silver platter. Techniques are tools to get you to a state of clam, clarity and trust, in that order (thats is my experience). Don't make them into false Gods. It is YOU who makes all this happen. YOU. Not the visualisations, not the scripting... those are practices to discipline the mind. Thats all they are. The spanner is not the engine of the car. It just tweaks it. The fear of failure is what you need to let go of, and the way to do it is to observe that thoughts squarely in the face and say 'it's a lie'. If visualisations give you a feeling of reality (which I remember very well when it came for me, and then went away again, and then came back), keep at it. Your job is to discipline your mind and part of it is to ignore the 3D. Which we know it's an illusion and past thoughts and feelings manifest.

When I scan your last response quickly, there are words that jump: 'doesn't work/isn't working', 'defence', 'shock to the system', 'depression', 'hesitant'. I am not invalidating your feelings, not at all, but look at those words and ask yourself what state are you manifesting from. Does the outside match the inside?

Hey, if the term god or any other religious term isn’t right for u due to your previous experiences, drop it. Pick up the scientific approach. The law is the law, it can be explained with numerous analogies and explanations. Look up joe dispenza, parallel realities, science and consciousness. That way u can have enough to believe in the idea and start with small things. As you build your faith with experiences, u can start exploring the idea of god and what it has meant or means to you because now u will have substantial idea to back to the truth of it. Everyone is basically saying the same things. Neville is only explaining it really simply and using a god analogy while most contemporary teachers are using terms more appealing to current times.

Maybe just realize the god that you knew as a kid was created by man and the god you are getting to know now is the creator. Also there is not really anything of value in the physical world and it’s all about how you react to the things you experience so you don’t need to worry about experiencing something new.

  1. change your concept of self first. When you say "I am" who are you referring to? How do you describe that being?
  2. Rest in the Lord <from the book the power of awareness>. Read the book and you'll understand what it means. It'll help you change your consciousness from things from without to a life from within.
  3. There can't be no trust issues if you are the awareness which gives life and light to your world. There can't be no trust issues if you believe God is your imagination and your imagination is "I am"

Thanks. And I think you hit one of my issues on the head with your question: " When you say "I am" who are you referring to?" and I think that is / was part of the problem - I didn't direct those words internally but rather at "me" as a whole.
