You were very close though! Just i and e the wrong way around in Schreibt, and maybe capitalisation.

Duolingo doesn't generally care about capitalisation (not that it's not important).

I've noticed that aswell. Although sometimes it does seem to consider non-capitalisation a typo; for example, when typing essen instead of Essen when the context actually makes a difference. I would also expect 'typo' flags (but still correct) from little spelling errors like the one OP made, not full-on being marked wrong. So perhaps it's because OP's answer had more than one minor error that it marked it wrong overall instead of just a typo. I would be interested to know.

/s Hang in there, my guy. I've fat-fingered far more than my fair share in my own track. Press on.

I’m learning German too. Wouldn’t it be cool if Duolingo kept track of every noun they teach you and their genders?

There’s actually a huge discussion about the correct way to write Email in German. Just as a normal noun, Email? Or E-Mail to express that it’s a compound noun and emphasize on the E(lectronic) part? Or even sexy looking solutions like eMail? The same goes for eSports (I’m a sexy guy myself when it comes to words).

It should be sie schreibt not sie schriebt. She is writing - sie schreibt. She writes - sie schreibt. She wrote - sie schrieb. She has written - sie hat geschrieben.

You were marked wrong because you transposed the letters e and i.

Ich weiß, leider habe ich einen kleinen Fehler gemacht. It's just two letter swapped around on mistake, just unfortunate

That's good. I was under impression from the commends that other people thought you were marked wrong because you didn't capitalize the words. I'm lazy too and type nearly all nouns in lower case.

Good thing Duolingo can recognize typos and doesn't mark it wrong in that case. /s

Thats one thing that makes me mad, it that sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't.

There was a time (and I think they fixed it by now) where the actual mistakes weren't even detected in the Hebrew course. Like, I realized just a millisecond after hitting the check button that it was wrong, but then it came up green anyway.
