Attapoll is an app that pays you to take surveys. If you sign up with my referral then you'll get 40p to start off with.

I would recommend doing the profile surveys, as having done so seems to reduce the rate of screenouts. It's small amounts of money but like I said in the title, it's good for when you have dead time e.g., commuting. I took just over £10 from it last month during time I would otherwise have been scrolling social media.

Pays out to Paypal or Revolut with a low minimum payout threshold of around £3.50 ($5 in US) or you can get gift cards or donate to charity instead.

Hi all,

While it is all a little quiet on the news-front, perhaps it is a good idea to familiarise ourselves with who is involved in this company. It's ultimately the people who make these businesses work, so they have to be right for the job.

Neville Hargreaves is Velocy's VP of Waste to Fuels. He has a Master's degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University with a focus on Chemistry, and a PhD in Chemistry from University College London, graduating from the latter in 1987.

Between 1987 and 2000, he worked in a technical and commercial management position (R&D manager, basically) at Exxon Mobil and delivered a number of new projects during that time. From 2000-2004 he had a sti

Hi Velocys investors, I hope you're all doing well and continuing to hold.

I apologise for this semi-shameless plug, but I just wanted to take the opportunity to bring r/T212Pies to your attention. It's a subreddit I've set up for people to share and discuss investment pies they have set up on Trading212, as it is the platform I myself use.

It's very new, but I thought I'd mention it here in case it may be of use to you to get ideas, spark some research, or ask for feedback on your own portfolios.

Some of you may have seen the post linking this article about the person who wiped out an entire wolf pack (legally) and is now facing some hate. Rightly so.

It got me thinking about the question I have asked. The gulf between how those two things are viewed is not at all proportional to how similar the acts are.

Why do you think that is?

Nb. For clarity and for the record, I am against both.

When the 'community DD post' went up 19 days ago, institutional ownership sat at 24.9%. That was up from 22.4% when I posted a write-up on the green industrial revolution in r/UKinvesting. Today, the institutional ownership is 47.4%.

A lot of the recent increase was an influx of institutional buying reportedly on January the 4th. To name a small selection;

Since the massive influx of new redditors over the last couple of weeks, I've been feeling like the quality of pretty much all investment-related subs (present company excluded, which is why I ask here) has gotten worse and worse every day.

Does anyone else see it the same or am I just being a dick? I ask this genuinely so if I am being a dick please say so. I just feel like this is the only sane place left.

Hi all,

As a follow up to the post I made a little while ago about investing in the green industrial revolution, I would just like to offer an interesting speculative update related to one of the companies on there, Velocys.

As you may have seen that Shell recently pulled out of the partnership with Velocys. This was due to a desire to focus on larger projects overseas they are involved with such as a plan to take a 40% stake in the Varennes Carbon Recycling project in Canada [[1]](https://www.shell.com/energy-and-innovation/new-energie

The Davos World Economic Forum was held on the 27th of January. At it, one of the topics was net-zero aviation and one of the speakers on that topic from the UK was Grant Shapps. There are number of things to take from the interview, which I will discuss below.

Who is Grant Shapps?

Grant Shapps is the Secretary of State for Transport of the United Kingdom. He is a very vanilla politician who represents basically what you'd expect of a modern political figure, including a not insignificant amount of scandal.

In 2012, Google blacklisted 19 business websites run by Shapp's family (though unclear if he himself was involved) for violating rules on copyright infringement related to the web s
