reddit.comPersonally, I'm not a big fan of the edit but I still feel like I can offer a fair critique.
The colors to the left of your girlfriend don't blend well with the rest of the image. That blue mountain really jumps out and distracts from the focus of the image, her and the Milky way. That patch of green/yellow hues to the right also could use some work.
As for the foreground, I think it could be darker, particularly the shadows and blacks, and use some color correction to tone down the blue in the white of her shirt. I realize this was a quick edit, but removing the halo effect from the sunset on her left leg and sleeve would help sell the composite a bit more.

Well if you’re genuinely looking for an answer: the original shot of the Milky Way was a landscape photo, which only reached merely above the subject’s head. So I duplicated the layer and stretched it to the top then quickly blended the two together. I’m definitely not going to post any more quick edits to this sub, most of the comments are obvious critiques.

Yeah it only took about 10 minutes. Simple background replacement and color layer over the water.

I think it’s well done, but like others have said, it’s too heavy for me, less of an edit and more of a transformation. More visual art than photography

It looks alright I guess? I clearly over edited. With how the rest of the picture the sky looks unnatural. Kinda sad, cause the sky you got in original is decent and with some LR local edits it might look awesome.

Yes. I replaced the background and used a pink layer overlay for the water in a color dodge filter. I have an updated version for the edit, but I’m never posting a rough draft on this page again.

If your intent was to give it unreal feel, then you got it right. Especially with double milky way. Otherwise, it is an overcooked image.
