Staff Profile: Neville Hargreaves - VP Waste to Fuels

While it is all a little quiet on the news-front, perhaps it is a good idea to familiarise ourselves with who is involved in this company. It's ultimately the people who make these businesses work, so they have to be right for the job.

Neville Hargreaves is Velocy's VP of Waste to Fuels. He has a Master's degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University with a focus on Chemistry, and a PhD in Chemistry from University College London, graduating from the latter in 1987.

Between 1987 and 2000, he worked in a technical and commercial management position (R&D manager, basically) at Exxon Mobil and delivered a number of new projects during that time. From 2000-2004 he had a stint as a consultant, before spending 7 years running his own small businesses focusing on novel and clean energy.

He joined Velocys in 2011 as Business Development Director before taking the position of VP Waste to Fuels in 2018.

So, he has a lot of experience in the energy industry and has been dedicated for a while to innovative energy solutions. One would infer from his qualifications that he has a solid understanding of the necessary chemistry for the technology Velocys are developing. Overall, he seems very well suited to the role at Velocys
