Now do Mark, who studied computer science at a state school, makes $300k, and is kind to everyone.
These posts are pointless.
What if I'm both?
Hey bro at my company the most arrogant dude brags about his college degree all the time even though he ended up just becoming a plumber. He's one of our top performers though
Is it bragging that he is/might be better than everyone because of it...
Or is it him telling everyone "Hey, look at how stupid I was, I wasted all that money and look where I am, this is way better than white collar"
That's really always the question for all of us my man
What a crazy line to walk lmao, my personal version is "holy hell I was dumb, now I get the chance to pay off my mistake doing something I love".
Mistake #1: study philosophy as a major. Mistake #2: do not pursuing a master, PhD, and doctorate in philosophy. Mistake #3: all of the above
There is a carpenter i know named Adam. He drilled into the pex floor heating right where the pex went into the concrete. Hahha
The follow-up for Adam:
- Adam takes a job in fast food, because nobody else would hire him.
- After a few years of struggling, he becomes an apprentice for an electrician.
- He gets his license, and a good paying job, but he has to pay down his student debt.

I don't even know what you would do with a philosophy degree. Sounds like a class worth auditing.
If you’re super into the subject matter, you go on and get your PhD and become a professor. The pay still isn’t great (better than McD’s at least) but presumably you’re doing it because you love it. Isn’t there some saying about plumbers making more money than professors?
If you don’t go that route, what you have is a ticket to a generic office job. A lot of non-specialized jobs in the office like to see a college degree in any field as a qualification.
fart in jars and label them based on your current mood. later if anyone asks about philosophy, open a random jar while reading the label; take a deep breath and act like you enjoy doing this.
am I close?
I have my fart jarwith money in it (piggy bank) .. I take deeeeep breath on my needs n wants 😎
Yep.
Ok this post is making me leave the sub I thought ppl were nice here
Seriously? It's advertising for the trade in a tongue in cheek way. I have yet to come across anyone here who hasn't been nice. Even as a lowly homeowner and nothing more, everyone has been respectful and kind. This is the first place I'll be turning when I need help! Even if it's just to explain what's going on and ask if I need a professional at my house immediately. If it's something piddly a homeowner can do, I know those here will tell me how to take care of the issue. Heck, I'll come here and ask if the pro in my house is taking the best action, using the best parts/supplies for the job, going by best practices, etc if I ever feel uncomfortable with a pro. Thankfully, I've had really competent plumbers so far when I've needed a lifeline.
Maybe you're joking and it went over my head? I love to joke around and others here do as well. I wouldn't look into most things too deeply here. 😉 I've actually learned quite a lot here just following the daily posts.
I hope you have a great night!
