I have a few vehicles, and every single year, I can register all of them on-line --- except for my Chevy Bolt. Every single time I get the message: "Your registration cannot be renewed online. Please contact your county clerk." Every single time, I go in, wait for an hour, and they tell me that they don't know why I can't register that vehicle on-line, we do the paperwork, and they tell me: it should work next year. And it never does.

This is getting old. Anyone ran into this kind of problem? What's the solution? Because clearly the County Clerk Office doesn't know.

Any ideas what was up to him? He was down to 5th place. He seemed to race much weaker than on previous weekends. I had thought he would be fighting for the win.

This was the first somewhat longer trip we did in the Bolt. 300 miles one way in a charging desert with two oases (Indianapolis and Lafayette).

It was pretty smooth. On our way there, we started with 100% charge, and charge up to 80% both in Indy and in Lafayette. We arrived to Chicago with plenty of charge left, and that was nice, because it was some time before we could charge there.

On our way back, time was an issue, so only charged in Lafayette enough to make it to Indy, and enough there to make it home. We arrived with ~30 miles on the GOM both times. This way, we always charged at ~50 kW.

One thing that makes planning somewhat tricky is the fact that Lafayette has very limited op

I'm in a suburb of Louisville, and a bird is building a nest on a tree in my front yard.

Small black bird, slightly smaller than robins. Yellow, narrow beak. Not pitch black, maybe a bit grayish, but definitely dark enough to call it black. It looks just like the common blackbird - which does not live in North America.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Yesterday, while I was on my motorcycle, a car passed me on a single lane interstate ramp at high speed, very nearly hitting me. I have it on video and I have their license plate. Do you think it is worth it to report it to the police? Or is there anything else one can do?

Hi,

An elderly friend of mine has an issue with Louisville Water, and I'm trying to help him, but I don't really know what to do.

He was away from home for a few months, and due to an issue with autopayment, power/heat got turned off in his apartment. He restored power/heat when he came back, but now his water is off.

Louisville Water is telling him that they didn't turn off his water, and surely, his lines are frozen. But he has had heat in the apartment for over 30 hours now. I went to his place, I checked that his main valve was open. I can see where the underground water line is coming in from the street (4 ft underground), and his pipes aren't even particularly cold. There is not eve

Got an email from Kawasaki that the new models are released. I got excited to see the new electric models. Until I checked the specs. Max speed is 55 mph (65 mph with e-boost, whatever that means). Range is 41 miles (w/o e-boost).

Is this for real, or I'm misreading something?

Hi,

I'm an amateur who owns a Titanium 225 stick welder. It works well for me. It can operate on 240 volts or 120 volt: there is a switch you have to flip into the correct setting.

Most of the time I use it on 240, but occasionally I used it on 120. What if I forget to flip the switch? In either direction. I'm afraid I'll do that once and I burn up the welder.

Thanks!

Hi,

I've never planted anything from seed until now. I always bought tomato and pepper plants in the spring, but lately, the selection got more limited, and the price went up. So I'm looking into planting from seed this year.

Is there a good website you can buy from? I'm looking into planting variety of tomatoes and peppers (specifically and definitely hot banana peppers), and I finally want to establish an asparagus bed.

I'm in Louisville, Kentucky, if it matters.

Thanks!

I have joined the club. I bought my 650 LT yesterday, and rode home from the dealer. So I already have 80 miles on the bike.

The bike feels very tall for me, and I almost dropped it when I first pulled into a gas station next to the dealership. But I'm more comfortable with it now. Handling is great.

I try to keep the revs under 4000, as per the user's manual for the first 250 miles, but it's pretty hard. The bike doesn't like anything below 3000, so it's a pretty narrow band between 3000 and 4000. I can't wait to get to 250 miles.

So now the question: this is the first bike I owned with traction control. It has two levels. By default, it is in KTRC 1. Why would you want less traction con
