Can you help me decode what you posted? How do I read this? I'd say it's Greek to me, except I read & speak Greek. 😎😁

These are options. Someone bought 17k of them at $71 each and 16k of them at $26 each.

The top one is a "bet" that SLV will be higher than $27 by July 16th.

2

$27.70....

silver-pedal:Buccaneer: Buccaneerβ€’

Including their cost, correct.

So far today, Call option volume: ~83,000+, Put volume: ~6,100. That is amazing.

UrWifesSoftPeckerβ€’

...and price slam from those inflows into SLV tomorrow or Monday

No clue what I’m looking at.....

Is that 16,000 options @ 100 shares each?

7
d00nsOPβ€’

These are options. Someone bought 17k of them at $71 each and 16k of them at $26 each.

This is a credit spread play. The buyer likely bought the 27s and simultaneously sold the 30s. They capped their upside but also minimized the risk of total loss. This is a very common strategy for hedge funds, and/or big traders. This is a 'smart' risk.

I just see an option chain with an open interest of 16k with a bid of .26 cents per share. So 26 dollars to take that bet per contract. Not sure what else we can deduce from that screen shot?

6
d00nsOPβ€’

This isn't open interest, it's volume, these were purchased this morning.

Every contract equal 100 share leveled.

This is SLV the etf, and not the silver price right? Or am i missing something? In that case silver would have to be above 30?

5
d00nsOPβ€’

Yeah, the 27 call is about $30 and the 30 call is about $33

5
FrustPerβ€’

Ahh great, thanks for the clarification πŸ‘Œ

Placed a bet, against SLV? (Serious Loss of Valuables.) Ballsy!

3
TheMarketLiberal93β€’

No, this was a bet on SLV going up in price.

3
bentaxleGBβ€’

Thanks, I never got into options.

How do you see that information?

2
d00nsOPβ€’

This is from the TD Ameritrade app, but I'm sure there are websites that display the information as well

A 6 trillion $ spending plan is coming out... I like the bet of spot over $30. I don’t like the idea of SLV over $30...

I have 100 of the 30's. Currently down about 60% on them :(

OP I hope this is you and I hope you make out like a bandit!

Physical Silver already is 30$ an oz I cant find one oz of real physical silver under 30$ an oz. I would say it's more likely by July the cheapest oz of physical silver is $40+. All while paper traders kill the price, your fun little contract may expire worthless. But all the more power to you! Good luck I hope you roll a seven. For me I want the shinny.

UrWifesSoftPeckerβ€’

FFS, this causes MM's to buy SLV shares! These WSB guys buying call options are fucking us and themselves
