I went off on my husband's mother recently because of this shitty complete avoidance or constant denial of ever doing anything wrong. She and her daughter and her daughters kids all ganged up on him in a group text and he basically told them all he was done with them and to never contact him again. His mom tried to show up at our apartment like nothing happened and kept trying to either deny she played any role or kept blaming him.

Her mistake was trying to appeal to me when he told her to leave and never come back. After 10 years of watching them torment him with gaslighting and then either lying, denying, or pretending nothing happened later on I just snapped. I told her it's all their fault he doesn't want to talk to them and all they ever want to do is fight over petty shit and they're all toxic sick monsters.

She kept trying to make excuses and deny it but each time I cut her off yelling LEAVE because I'm done hearing any shit they spew out their mouths because it's always the same things lies, excuses, or any horrible toxic bile they can think up to hurt people. Never let these monsters gaslight you by denying the truth you can both plainly see because no matter how much they try to lie or deny actions or words you both know what the truth really is and they can try to avoid it all they want but it'll still be there.

I'm so sorry you're being treated this way too. Nothing is more infuriating that someone being a huge piece of shit towards you then just bald faced lie about everything or go off to delusional land where it magically just never happened.

I'm really glad you've started healing away from your nMum's and ex's despicable behaviour. You deserve people around you who can respect you and love you!

My big bro had a really hard time accepting our mum was a narc. He was the GC, so I get it.

Trump losing the election was literally a lightbulb moment for him. The tantrums, the shifting of blame, making himself a victim. It was like watching our mum lose a game of Scrabble, as silly as that sounds.
