I was just in a twitch channel and there was a giveaway of more stuff. A reusable cup. Yet another cup no one needed.

It was still a newly-created item. A new plastic thing. To replace hopefully more single-use plastic things. Still more stuff created. A new reusable thing. Still new!

How many 'reusable cups' are sitting on shelves while more are being created? How many water bottles does one need to buy/win/be given?

Stop. Making. More Stuff.

Don't even have to stop fully. Just not as much. It won't happen though. Because the way people make money hasn't changed. The incentive is still to create more. Waste management and performing recycling isn't the responsibility of the com

I babysit these adorable little children and their mom is around when I'm there, and she is away resting. Prior to her leaving to nap, one of her girls was hungry.

So she sliced up apples for all of us. I was handed a plastic plate that matched the other little girls' and I ate my apple slices with them.

I nearly cried. This is something my mother would have never done. Even if I wanted fruit, she would bark at me to get it myself, and if I wanted it sliced I am using the knife, at a very young age. That's me. I'm that guy. Well, I'm a woman, but I'll say "that guy".

I'm one of those people taking the escalator 2 two steps at a time (that's right, two), and stairs I basically jog up skipping a step or more. Obviously I observe no one else doing this. I fly by people standing on the escalator waiting to arrive slightly higher up.

Whatever, it's free 'fitness'.

I'm an adult now thankfully. As a kid I would pretend to walk like a 'gargoyle' (cartoon from the 90s), or gallop like a horse when I ran.

That's how it's always felt.

Ever since I became aware/conscious at around 8 or 9 years old, it felt like this. I lived there, I had no choice, and I dreamed of being far away. All the time.

I've been no contact (NC) for about two years now, or more, and low contact for much much more. It was LC when I lived there, tbh. With the exception of mother's lies, screaming and tantrums, and dad's total dismissal, how I have 'shit for brains', or how I should just be able to figure everything out with no help, it was quiet. I was left to be on the computer for hours and hours.

Then I moved out. Came back a few times, regretted it, and then left for good. Now I'm across the large country we're in
