Have you guys heard about redditfest? We're trying to get something going along the lines of redditcon, but with music and art.

Yesterday a post was made on r/trees that made the front page about having a reddit festival that would include live music, live celebrity AMAs, etc...

We at radio reddit, which is a r/watmm based community took notice immediately and volunteered to help. Well now the ball is rolling. TroutM4n formed /r/redditfest to coordinate ideas and people, the reddit admins are discussing the concept, and we'd like to help coordinate getting musicians involved.

Basically what we need now is a show of hands of who would be interested in performing at such a festival. Obviously at this point we can't discuss the ins and outs, money, etc etc... as we are just trying to get an idea of interest to see what we are up against. We'd also like to get ideas, inputs, volunteers, etc etc... like I said, the few of us at radio reddit are just volunteers that came from this subreddit and we can always use help and input.

If you're a musician or band that would be interested in performing at such a festival please fill out the form at http://radioreddit.com/redditfest-artist-inquiry

Like I said, we are just trying to get a feel and gather data. We don't ultimately make any big decisions but we are potentially the liaison between reddit artists and bands, the reddit admins, and the world and we've love to see this happen so that we can show the power of independent musicians.
