Does anyone know if the thyrm ring works with a Fenix TK16 V2.0

Apparently it works if you can remove the clip and index feature but I don't know what the index feature is.

The Switchback 2.0 will not fit at all. There's a small chance the Switchback DF would fit though.

What would be the deciding factor as to whether or not it will?

There isn't a deciding factor really. With the DF if either fits or it doesn't and there's no way to tell without either just trying it out yourself, or having perfectly accurate dimensions for every nook and cranny of the light and the switchback.

Edit: I guess making sure the max diameter of the tailcap is less than the inside diameter of the DF would be the biggest deciding factor. I can't find a definitive dimension for the tailcap though.

Thanks a bunch, I'll bust out the calipers when mine arrives and see what it says

Forgot to ask, why does the switchback not fit? Is it too small for the light?

We have to be specific about which model of switchback were talking about.

The 2.0 will not fit because it is too small. It has a lip near the bottom that is supposed to be pinched between the tailcap and body tube of the light to hold it in place. The inside diameter of that lip just isn't big enough to be able to fit any lights that take a 21700 cell like the TK16 V2.

The DF is larger so it can accept some 21700 lights like the Acebeam T36 and Convoy S21A. It still has to fit snugly on the light though so even if a light will physically fit inside it it's not a garuntee it will fit, which is why you pretty much just have to actually try it out to be sure of whether it will fit or not.

Fortunately, if you're in the US, the DF is available on Amazon so you can get it with fast shipping, try it out, and if it doesn't fit you can return it super easily.
